Private Lessons and Travel Teaching

Private lessons can be existing designs, technique lessons or a custom designed class based on your interests. Private Lessons in your home or my home studio are available at a rate of:
-$20 per hour for adults
-$15 per hour for children between 12-16 (special classes are available if your child is preparing for entrance to a "school of arts" based high school.)
-$15 per hour for seniors over 65

There is a 2 hour minimum for a class. I also include an additional 30 minutes before and after a class for setup and Q&A's, which is provided at no charge. Private lessons are paid for in advance and we require 48 hours notice if you need to rebook, otherwise, your money is not refunded. This policy has been put into place to be fair to those wanting to take private lessons, my time is booked and then the student cancels at the last minute. Where I have to cancel the lesson due to unforeseen circumstances, the pre-payment is fully refunded or the student can pick another day for re-booking.

Private Online Lessons are available at a rate of $15 per hour, 2 hour minimum regardless of age. I will also provide a video recording of the class for the student within 24 hours of the class completion. This is my most popular method of teaching due to the convenience for the student because it offers the most flexibility in time and the student gets the video recording.

Travel Teaching falls under a full day workshop from 9am - 5pm at a rate of $60 per student and everything is provided. A minimum of 8 students is required. The students just have to show up to your guild or classroom.

Teaching Specialty:
My speciality is Pet Portraits and Wildlife in oils, acrylics, graphite, charcoal and pastels.

Additional Charges:
Mileage for travel teaching and private lessons in your home are calculated based on the location.

A 50% deposit is required for all Travel Teaching and a standard application contract is provided to you.
